♦ The Omiya Bonsai Art Museum, Saitama
Bonsai has very recently received considerable overseas attention. Omiya has been famous for a Bonsai production area since Bonsai craftsman living in Tokyo moved there after a big earthquake in1923. In the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum, we can feel the art of Bonsai and study the culture of Bonsai.
♦ Kawagoe ( old storehouse zone )
The old storehouses made by stone are lined up, and the Toki-no-kane (Bell Tower) rings to tell the time. Kawagoe can experience traditional, genuine Japan.

♦ Suzuki brewery
Suzuki brewing has been producing sake since it was established in 1871 and exhibits various historical documents and instruments that convey you the traditions of brewing sake. The instruments that have now become very rare are kept as precious items in order to be conveyed to future generations. You can watch videos to explain the sake brewing, taste sake, and buy sake as souvenir.

You will be picked up at 9:50AM at the entrance of Hotel Brillante Mushasino.
♦ Kimono wearing experience
You will try to wear Japanese traditional costumes “Yukata”, which is taught by civic volunteers in Saitama-City. You will not put on Japanese sandals but your own shoes.
♦ Omiya Hikawa Shrine
This is one of the most superb old shrines in Japan with a history that is said to go back more than 2,000 years and is also the origin of the city name Omiya, which means a large shrine. It is a center of religious faith in the Tokyo metropolitan area and therefore crowds of people (ca. 2 millions) visit there during the first three days at the beginning of the year.
♦ Tea ceremony experience
You will take part in a tea ceremony demonstrated by the students of Saitama University. You will experience Japanese beautiful spirits based "Omotenashi".

♦ Tougyoku Dolls Museum ( Iwatsuki dolls )
Iwatsuki currently ranks at the top in Japan both in quality and quantity for producing dolls for the Boys’ and Girls’ Festivals, and we can see traditional dolls in the doll production companies there. Dancing and costume dolls are also shipped nationwide.
♦ Japanese drum experience
We have played the Japanese drum used in the Japanese traditional festivals since a long ago. In the studio "Suwand", which is one of the greatest studios in Japan, you can casually watch the Japanese traditional performance. Please avoid wearing a skirt, high-heeled shoes and accessories during the event. Please enter the studio barefoot.
